gardening guide to grieving- instinct

Published by memorialgarden at 10:53 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Reading magazine about gardening yesterday, I was struck how closely related gardening and grieving are.  Yesterday I was thinking about how important it is to learn to grieve but maybe how to grieve is already in use.  The article by Robert Dash listed his words to guide a garden.  His first principle was “     to garden is no natural an act that you need only to follow your instinct.”  Maybe grieving is the same way, we should follow our instinct.  I talked to a lady the other who had just suffered a loss and she said to me that she couldn’t help crying every day.  I told her that maybe it was her way of working through her grief.  She was still functioning at work as a mother though.  I am not a therapist but it seems to be working for her.
