Information about miscarriages and stillbirth should be readily available and women should be encouraged to educate themselves.  Moments of crisis are not the best time to expect women to make decisions about their expectations and care; just like pregnant women make birth plans, there should be something similar offered incase of a pre-term loss.  A well informed woman will take a more active role in her own healthcare.  Books, brochures and resources should be readily available and women and their families should be encouraged to read about both and the positive and negatives of pregnancy.  Pregnant women should be encouraged to read and understand the pregnancy process better to be prepared on what to expect in the event of a loss.
